SWISS MEDICA PRODUCT PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED WITH MAJOR TELEVISION NEWS COVERAGE OF O24
Toronto, Canada – Grant Johnson, President and COO of Swiss Medica (OTBB: SWME), is pleased to announce the successful product publicity launch for the Company’s flagship product, the O24 pain relief formula. The first major television editorial coverage for O24 aired on July 8th in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan statistical area. According to the recent U.S. Census, Phoenix is the 6th largest city in the United States.
Editorial coverage for O24 aired on KPHO-TV, a CBS affiliate, which the Nielsen media ratings service recently ranked number two for television news ratings in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Footage was filmed at Swiss Medica’s debut at the National Association of Chain Drug Store (NACDS) marketplace, last month, in San Diego. Both Grant Johnson and Larry Holmes, the O24 celebrity spokesperson, were interviewed for the television news editorial, and the newly packaged O24 pain relief product was prominently featured and discussed by the television reporter.
The editorial coverage came from Max World News, which gathers newsworthy stories of a national interest, primarily for local television news stations. Each week, Max World News feeds health and fitness-oriented news stories via satellite to network affiliates, including ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox in all 210-television markets as well as national cable networks such as CNN, CNBC and MSNBC.
Immediately following the twice-aired health news spot, Swiss Medica logged more than 200 telephone inquiries and 300 unique visitors to its O24 website. In the first 36 hours, more than 75 people ordered the new O24 pain relief product.
Grant Johnson said, “Phoenix was the news editor’s entry market for the Max World News feature news story. We anticipate the same editorial feature might air on dozens more television stations in the near future, perhaps in nearly all U.S. cities. We are excited about this instant consumer demand for O24 and what it forecasts as the mainstream media take notice of our flagship product.”
Swiss Medica has retained Tampa-based Blue Skye, Inc as the agency of record for the O24 product publicity. Sky Wallen, president of Blue Skye, was previously with BBDO/Proximity (London, UK). Ms. Wallen arranged the Max World News interview and feature, as well as the recent product publicity for O24, prior to the NACDS show. Additional editorial coverage is being pursued for the O24 product.
