SWISS MEDICA SIGNS INFOMERCAL TELEVISION MARKETING AGREEMENT WITH MEDIACORP WORLDWIDE FOR O24 PAIN RELIEF
Toronto, Canada – Swiss Medica Inc. announced today that its new O24 Pain Relief Product has been chosen by MediaCorp Worldwide to participate in its joint venture infomercial, direct response television marketing program.
MediaCorp will produce and air a short format “infomercial” to begin marketing the product in select regions of the U.S. for a two week test period after which the infomercial will be aired nationally on a daily basis. As part of the joint venture agreement, MCW will establish and maintain an 800 number staffed by 24-hour operators to support sales of the product. They will also handle all credit card processing, collecting and shipping to the end user.
Production of the infomercial is set to take place in November 2003, with the first ads hitting the airwaves by early 2004.
MediaCorp President, Earl Pardo, stated, “We are excited about entering into the agreement with Swiss Medica and hope to have a successful test market with the O24 Pain Relief product.” He added that Direct Response Television has proven itself to be a highly effective means of “leveling the playing field” for growing companies bringing innovative new products into the marketplace.
“We are pleased to partner with MediaCorp on this joint venture. The infomercial platform will give us the opportunity to showcase our O24 penetrating pain relief product in millions of American households,” said Mr. Johnson, President and COO of Swiss Medica. Mr. Johnson went on to say, “This can only have a positive effect in terms of building both brand recognition and sales revenue.”
A non-patented pain relief product recently achieved sales in excess of $75 million in its first year of distribution via an infomercial. The infomercial industry has grown to a multi billion dollar distribution channel that allows multinationals and entrepreneurs to educate consumers on the merits of their products/services in addition to allowing for direct sales.
MediaCorp Worldwide has a well-established history of bringing new products to market. Products such as ‘Quick 10’, ‘The Salad Blaster’ and ‘the Rolling Styler™’ have utilized MediaCorp’s expertise to take them from unknown, innovative new products to worldwide distribution.
MediaCorp Worldwide has also turned the brand recognition generated through television campaigns into highly coveted spots on shelves of national retail chains. MediaCorp’s network of sales representatives, located throughout the United States and Canada, have direct access to buyers from major specialty stores and mass merchandisers from coast to coast.
Founded in 1995, MediaCorp Worldwide has become one of the leading development and distribution companies in the U.S. focusing on innovative products with short-form commercials. Website: http://www.mediacorpworldwide.com/
